Electric wheelchairs Parts
If you want to make sure that your wheelchair stays in good shape, you may want to do regular maintenance on the wheelchair parts.
You should do the following things:
• Every day – Wipe down and clean with a damp rag.
• Every week – Make sure that the wheels are in place and not loose. Make sure that there is no wobbling as the chair rolls. Clean the axle housings and other wheelchair parts to make sure they are clear of debris. It is also a good idea to check the brakes as well as the locks.
• Every month – If you have done a nice, thorough cleaning, it might be a good idea to use a car wax on the frame. This will make the maintenance easier. Check for loose nuts and bolts on wheelchair parts each month.
• Every year –Lubricate all wheelchair parts that need it. Ball bearings should also be greased.
